Osteoporosis After The Menopause

A Tutorial and Model

The osteoporosis model was developed by Dr. Kimberly Porter Smith at the University of Georgia.  It is used to examine the changes in thickness of bone trabeculae and their loss that results in osteoporosis.  You can open it and run it with different choices of diet and activity using STELLA 6.0 from High Performance Systems, Inc.

This is a complex model with a number of attached images.  The images work best if all are put into a single folder that also contains the model, because STELLA looks for an image folder when it opens.  If you have problems with this model, please contact jhargrov@fcs.uga.edu.

STELLA models can usually be changed between PC and Macintosh by adding (PC) or deleting (Mac) the ".stm" suffix.
