The models below can be downloaded by opening the linked pages and then clicking the file names where indicated.  Normally, the files are stored in the folder called "My Download Files" and can be unzipped using a utility such as Aladdin's DropStuff.  In order to use the models you will need to have a Run-Time version of the STELLA software, which can be downloaded from the High Performance web site by clicking on the following link:  Download STELLA.  The research version of STELLA is full-featured and allows students and investigators to create, run, and save models of personal interest.

Dynamic Modeling in the Health Sciences is published by Springer-Verlag (New York) and is available from the publisher or on-line booksellers such as Amazon.com.  The book contains a CD with 40 different models and Run-Time STELLA software.  The book is part of the series called Modeling Dynamic Systems that is edited by Drs. Bruce Hannon and Matthias Ruth.

The models below are available free of charge from Dr. James Hargrove and may be used for educational purposes.  Feel free to experiment with the models.  The Run-Time program allows any variable to be changed so you can perform simulations.

Simulation Models

  1. Colon Cancer
  2. Osteoporosis
  3. Energy Balance
  4. Cholesterol Metabolism
  5. Gene Expression
